About

Kenn Burrows was an artist who lived in Cambridge in the UK. He was originally from London, and trained at Hornsea Art School. He worked for the BBC and ITV before setting up The Print Shop with Gordon Gillick in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. His work was exhibited and sold all over the world since the 1960’s.

Kenn was particularly well known for his silk screen prints, some of which were exhibited at the Royal Academy. His Avoid the rush hour poster for London Transport is well known, and he won the Observer Prize for Barn Interior. His Cockerel adorned the set of ITV's Coronation Street for many years!

He last exhibited in a major exhibition at the Discerning Eye exhibition in London’s Mall Galleries.

While some of his work is available as originals, we also sell reproductions and giclee print versions of pictures that were originally produced as silk screen prints or paintings.

As the artist himself sold the complete runs of many of his prints, we’d also be interested in hearing from people who have copies of prints not featured here so that we can potentially make a copy of them. We have a full scanning and printing service available and would very much like to create an archive of the considerable output Kenn produced over the years.
